My love for textiles began with a special gift from my grandmother: money for my first sewing machine. As a teen, I sewed many of my own clothes, but it wasn’t until the early 1990s—just before my first child was born—that I discovered quilting.
I started with traditional patterns (the log cabin block is still a favorite!) and gradually found my voice through improvisational piecing. Along the way, I dove into art journaling, stamping, hand dyeing, and gel printing—constantly expanding my creative toolbox.
Over the years, I’ve been part of quilt guilds, international quilting communities, and fiber art groups. My work has been exhibited in local shows, the Mancuso Quilt Show in Savannah, GA (2015), and recently at the Suntan Art Center in St. Petersburg, FL. I’ve received numerous quilt show ribbons, including Judge’s Choice in the Quilt Alliance “Animals We Love” Challenge—featured in Quilting Arts Magazine (Oct–Nov 2015).
I’m a lifelong learner, always inspired by color, texture, and the joy of making.
Color and texture have the power to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Bold vibrant palette and striking geometric patterns create works that celebrate energy, movement, and emotion. My art invites the viewer to engage with fabric in new ways- where every thread, stitch, and shape tells a story of creativity, connection, and joy.
